Long Leaf Heart Pine flooring and oak hardwood flooring, Install patch and repair and refinish
Dave Hall Construction Natick, MA Part 1
This job came in last year, 2011, just before Christmas. For Joe and I it could not have come at a better time financially, thank you Dave and Steven. I’ve been blessed to work for Dave, now he and his son Steven, for 32 years. I don’t know how many tradesmen can say that these days. The 1st time I remember working with Dave and is father was around 1980. His father is now passed on. Dave is one of the best remodeling contractors in Natick, hands down, one of the best. Dave and Steven together make a great team – the old and the new. This house they were remodeling was built around 1920 and had not seen any upgrades at all. They reconfigured the 1st floor for a new kitchen and1/2 bath and mudroom. They reconfigured the 2nd floor into a master bedroom with full bath with laundry and new full bath in the hallway. The house was also completely updated with new wiring, plumbing, furnace, all new doors and some new windows, a lot of work indeed. We came in to patch an existing red oak inlay to fit back into a new opening into the kitchen from the dining room as well as a new red oak floor in the kitchen breakfast area and mudroom. We also re-laid the master bedroom with 3 ¼” long leaf heart pine flooring reclaimed during the 2nd floor reconfiguration, Dave and Steven picked up the old flooring and Joe and I cleaned the boards so we could re-use them, As well as repair all the doorways and install new LLHP raised thresholds in both of the bathroom doorways to accommodate the new floors in there. It was so good to work with Dave and Steven again. I looked forward to the coffee breaks, yes with donuts, everyday. The couple who bought the house from family members where very kind and brought goodies by at the end of each work week. I gained 10 lb’s while I was working there.
